On the evening of October 7, 2025, the Nobel Prize in Physics was announced. Three scientists from the US, the UK and France won the prize.

 

 

 

 

They are John Clarke, Michel Devoret and John Martinis. They will share the award for discovering "macroscopic quantum mechanical tunneling effect and energy quantization in circuits".
