就餐结账时对服务员说“How much?”会发生什么?

结账别问“How much”！

 

 

在比较正式的餐厅买单时，基本不会问服务员“how much”。因为在国外人眼里，账单是一个比较隐私的事情。如果把账单的金额说出口，就显得有点冒犯顾客隐私。因此，为了尊重顾客的隐私。她会直接递给你一个账单本，里面会有账单小票。你直接把钱放进账单本子里面，然后招手让她过来收就可以了。

We’re ready to pay.

我们准备付款。

 

Can we have the check, please?

我们可以要一下账单吗？

 (“Check” and “bill” mean the same thing at a restaurant. “bill” in British English; “check” in American English.

Check和bill在餐馆里的意思是一样的。英式英语中用bill；美式英语用check)

 

Do I pay you, or do I pay up front?

我直接付给你还是去前台付？

 

The server may have some questions, such as:

服务员也可能会向你提某些问题，比如：

 

Can I get you anything else, or are you ready for the check?

您还需要点什么吗？或者您准备结账了吗？

 

Would you like a box? (If you didn’t eat your whole meal, your server may ask you if you’d like a box to take your left-over food home.)

是可以说how much的

但要注意把句子说完整
